Title says it all: the game is pretty decent, but the ads are ridiculous, especially considering the game was Apples "free" game of the week.

First let me say: yes, the ads are annoying, but as long as I can play the game I dont care. My big problem is the emulated controls. Playing a platformer with an emulated D-Pad is a chore. Running around the first level was painful, and controlling Sonic was nigh impossible. Do not get.

This game is amazing but theres not enough gameplay so if mabey you could add nuckles it would be appreciated

I grew up playing sonic and super Mario bros. everyone is complaining about the ads Ive only seen 3 ads in the 30 minutes Ive played so far other than that LOVE this game no problems with the controls love the soundtrack to each level great job Mr. Whitehead for helping me relive some childhood memories

The remakes of the first two games were ad-free, why cant this one be ad-free as well?

I really dont mind the ads, most of time its not a video. But I think the gameplay matters most. I have almost every single 3D Sonic game and I have never played a 2D one before. All I have to say is that this game is very hard the first time playing. The Metal Sonic fight was ridiculous but the final fight with Robotnik is pretty easy. The levels are very challenging and rage inducing. But I personally love a challenging game, as long as its not near impossible.

I dont want to watch a 30 second advertisement every time I start the game, finish a level or anything in between. If SEGA could actually fund themselves, thatd be great.

I cant listen to music when playing it, so I had to delete it

If you open the ad and it says "remove ads", and thats the first ad the comes up, it doesnt make sense! No one likes ads because it wastes their time. If youre playing offline and if you havent bought the ad thing, just let the game play normally and take the ads out offline. Please change the game back to what it was before ads were added!

I hate this game. Especially when I found out that you can die if you take too long to complete a level. Its not my fault you made your game nearly impossible, Sega. I see people praising this game as if its the best game ever. Im sick of this overly difficult piece of crap you call Sonic Cd. I wanted to like this game, I really did but you made it too hard for me. I dont recommend this game unless you want about 20 minutes of a game thats not nearly impossible. Play any further than that and its impossible and you might as well rage quit and play a much better game than this. In conclusion, I dont like this game and I dont recommend it.

I already paid for this game. Didnt have any ads before. Now you want me to pay to get rid of ads that you just added? No, if I buy something thats it. I have half a mind to report this to apple. Pure greed thats what this is. Remove the ads for the people that paid.

Why are there ads? I already purchased the game, I shouldnt have to pay more to remove ads just because you want it to be freely available. Make a separate free version or something. Great game, but Im very disappointed about this.

I payed for this great game, and was very happy with my purchase. Today I wanted to check it out while I was back home and without internet access, only for the game to tell me I needed to connect to the internet to watch an ad? I payed for a nice port of a fifteen year old game, and I payed due to not wanting freemium ads like other older ports. Why didnt you just release a freemium version instead of replacing the old? I no longer feel like I can trust Sega with their apps, very unfortunate as Sonic has been a part of my life for over twenty years.

I paid for this app before the Free app of the week update but now, I have to pay MORE money to get rid of ads! Christian Whitehead is SO greedy, they set ads all over the game from The Beginning Cutscene to Metallic Madness! The only area without ads is The DA Garden! Remove ads! NOW!! RIP Good Sonic Games* *Since Sonic Generations
